Butina CO2 Backloader system applies to slaughterhouses, who, irrespective of production capacity, want to implement the latest technology within CO2-stunning of pigs and focus on animal welfare and meat quality.

DESCRIPTION OF STUNNING SYSTEM
The standard design of the Butina CO2 Backloader system is stainless and galvanized supplemented with solid and thoroughly tested standard components and technologies, which prevent the pigs from getting stress.
The concept for this product is based on the pigs being driven forward to the stunning system in groups in a mechanical driveway through one or several "Push Hoist Gates" (PHG). The pigs are divided into smaller groups and driven into the stunning boxes, which are lowered into a CO2-atmosphere by a paternoster or lift system. After the stunning, the pigs are tipped out of the stunning boxes for shackling and sticking.

The CO2-stunning system can manage the following capacities:

     4-8 pigs per stunning box

     125 - 900 pigs per hour
